We’re having AUDITIONS!

It’s audition time again! Do you love vintage jazz and blues music, classic Hollywood musicals and vintage fashion? Want to join a team of hardworking, like-minded girls that will help you improve your solo dancing and performance skills?

Come check out what it means to be a Sugar Sweet at our upcoming auditions on Monday, June 18th, 2018 from 7:00pm-8:15pm

The Sugar Sweets are a collaborative of passionate dancers who take pride in presenting high quality, historically accurate vernacular jazz, blues and chorus girl dances from the 1910’s through the 1950’s. We welcome a diversity of dancers from different styles and experiences.

If you are interested in auditioning for the team here’s what you will need to know:

You’ll learn two short pieces of choreography (one fast jazzy routine, one slow bluesy routine) and then get the chance to perform it in small groups for the ladies. We fully realize that learning choreography takes time, and by no means do we expect that anyone will be perfect. These auditions are low-key, fun, silly, and a great way to get to know other local ladies interested in solo jazz dancing!

Please RSVP on our Facebook event so you can stay up-to-date with reminders and new posts

* Water bottle
* Dance heels (if you have them – any short heel or wedge will work. If you don’t have either, keds will do!)
